Description
The Clinical Education Associates (CEA) Final Diagnostic Examination provides students with an opportunity to evaluate their clinical judgment and preparedness for national certification. Using clinical judgment to assess, diagnose, and manage clients is key to successful family nurse practitioner (FNP) practice. The same clinical judgment process is used to answer questions on the national certification exam. The national certification exam for FNPs focuses on screening, prevention, diagnosis, and management of common conditions in primary care. Topic areas include assessment, diagnosis, education, planning, and pharmacotherapy. In addition to disease management, national certification exams also test knowledge of practice requirements, the scope of practice, and legislative guidelines.
The CEA Final Diagnostic Examination must be completed by Saturday at 11:59 p.m. MT in Week 8.
