Assessment Description

Research an emerging brain technology like Artificial intelligence (AI) that may be useful in the future or is currently being used in the behavioral health field. Find two to four articles to cite and create a 10-12-slide presentation (not including the title and references slides) that addresses the following:

• Discussion of the ethical implications, including benefits and drawbacks to using brain technology like Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Explain the effects that AI technology can have on cognitive and social development.  Discuss the authors´ conclusions and opinions.
• Discuss your own opinions about the future of this technology, and whether you think it is primarily a positive or negative development.
• AI security breaches are a significant risk to client privacy. Explain the importance of HIPAA standards and provide an example of how the standards apply to the behavioral health paraprofessional in the field.
• Regarding social media, provide an example of the ethical benefits and potential drawbacks of participating in social media with behavioral health clients.
• Cite a minimum of two to four scholarly sources.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

This assignment uses a rubric. Please review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion.

Groups will deliver their presentations to the class and submit the PowerPoint document to the instructor. The instructor will provide a presentation schedule.
