$20.00

Description

Assessment Description

Choose a special group from Topic 8 to research. Then, research four websites of agencies or organizations that can assist a behavioral health worker in ethical practice when working with clients in the special group.

Next, create a digital presentation (PowerPoint, Canva, etc.) of 8-10 slides not including a title slide and reference slide, that explains what each of these four organizations specifically have to offer the behavioral health worker in making ethical choices and decisions when working with the special group identified.

Also include the following in your presentation:

  • Location and contact information  Resources
  • Any tips or suggestions about working with special groups: Provide suggestions available on the website that discuss ethical considerations or special considerations when working with special groups that have ethical undercurrents. For example, when working with disabled individuals using language and terminology that is affirming and supportive of their “abilities” rather than “disabilities” would lend to the ethic of beneficence.
  • Which special group the organizations or agencies serve
  • Explain how these organizations help decrease personal biases.
  • Explain how involvement in one of these organizations might contribute to following the ACA Code of Ethics standards: A.1.d, A.2.c, A.1.a, A.4.a, A.4.b, and A.7.a.
  • Cite three to five sources throughout the presentation in proper APA format.

If using PowerPoint, refer to the resource, “Creating Effective PowerPoint Presentations,” located in the Student Success Center, for additional guidance on completing this assignment in the appropriate style.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and documentation of sources should be presented using APA formatting guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.
