Description
CM is a 13-year-old male with sudden onset of 9/10 left testicular pain while playing basketball, he experienced some nausea and vomited once. On physical assessment, he is tachycardic, diaphoretic, and restless. Genital exam is significant for left hemiscrotum and scrotum erythematous and swelling, a negative Prehn’s sign, an absent left cremasteric reflex, and significant discomfort when the testicle is touched. Pertinent negatives include afebrile, abdominal pain, or urinary difficulties.
