General Instructions

This week, you will discuss how the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) impacts quality and safety.

Include the following sections:

1. Application of Course Knowledge: Answer all questions/criteria with explanations and detail.
2. Describe one practice area in which MIPS could be used to improve the quality of care.
3. Discuss two ways MIPS could positively impact the practice area.
4. Describe the role of MIPS in supporting the financial viability of healthcare providers and organizations.
