Description
Marvin Webster is a generally healthy 18-year-old college student who presents with a 2-day history of sudden-onset, progressive fatigue and non-painful cervical lymph nodes. He denies known sick contacts. PMH is significant for ‘mild’ asthma, for which he has not needed treatment in the recent past. Undergoes seasonal flu immunization as recommended and encouraged. Physical examination is significant for temperature 100.2°F (oral), scattered oral influenza. MW, an 18-year-old college student with a background of childhood asthma, presents with a sudden onset of cough, fatigue, muscle aches, sore throat, headache, and fever lasting four days. He indicates exposure to a sick individual and has not received his annual influenza vaccination. The physical examination shows a temperature of 101ºF, tachycardia, an erythematous pharynx, and anterior cervical lymphadenopathy, while adventitious breath sounds are absent.

18 y/o M college student with hx of childhood asthma presents to clinic with new onset dry cough, sore throat, fatigue, myalgias, and headache x4 days. He states his roomate was sick 1 week ago. He denies having a flu or covid vaccine. Upone physical exam he has a fever of 101, tachycardic, cervical adenopathy, and erythematous pharynx. Breath sounds are clear bilaterally and denies SOB. Negative for hepatomegaly or splenomegaly.

Patient report exposure to roommate who was sick with a cough last week. Patient denies chest pain, dizziness, tingling, or numbness. Patient denies nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and constipation.

MW is an 18-year-old male who is a college student with a history of childhood asthma. He presents today with acute onset nonproductive cough, sore throat, myalgias, and headache x 4 days. He reports that his roommate had a cough a week ago. He did not have a flu vaccine or covid booster. Physical examination revealed temp of 101, tachycardia, erythematous pharynx, and anterior cervical lymphadenopathy.
